Our Cold Process Soaps
Many people have never experienced true soap in its traditional form. Before modern detergents and mass manufacturing, soap was crafted from oils, fats, milk, herbs, ashes, and plant infusions sourced from the local environment. Soapmaking was a slow, seasonal craft rooted in connection, craftsmanship, and the thoughtful use of natural ingredients, passed down through generations.
At Cedar & Sage Rituals, our cold process soaps are intentionally handcrafted using nourishing oils, infused botanicals, mineral-rich clays, and pure essential oils. Each bar is cured for 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the formulation, creating a gentle, long-lasting soap with a rich, creamy lather.
Unlike commercial detergents, traditional cold process soap retains naturally occurring glycerin, valued for its gentle feel on the skin.
Natural variation and imperfect beauty are part of the handmade character, reflecting the simplicity and authenticity of traditional soapmaking.
To extend the life of your soap, store it in a well-draining dish and allow it to dry fully between uses.
